Birth and Postpartum Services
Support throughout pregnancy, birth, and immediate postpartum. I offer a calming and cheerful presence, practical hands-on support, and help you to feel confident as you move through your journey.
What I Do for You
Continuous labor support: I stay with you through labor, offering emotional reassurance, comfort measures (including massage, counter pressure, and guidance around positioning, movement, breathing). I encourage you so you feel stronger and more capable!
Evidence-informed guidance: I share research-backed information about labor progress, interventions, and comfort options to help you make clear, empowered decisions.
Personalized birth planning: We create a flexible birth plan that reflects your values, preferences, and priorities~what you want to invite and what you want to avoid.
Advocacy in the room: I help you communicate with your care team, translate medical information into plain language, and support your choices while honoring your care provider’s expertise.
Partner and family coaching: I coach partners and support people in practical ways so they can be confident helpers, such as hand placement for counter pressure to phrasing questions for providers.
Postpartum transition support: Immediate postpartum presence to help with early breastfeeding/chestfeeding positioning, newborn care basics, and emotional support during those first crucial hours.
Referrals and resources: I connect you with childbirth education, lactation consultants, pelvic floor specialists, mental health support, and community resources tailored to your needs.

Postpartum Care
Postpartum should be a time of receiving nourishment and support while creating a nest so that you can be with your baby. It’s a big transition, that no one should do alone! I am here so you can have a peace of mind around things like laundry and putting away the dishes, or walking the dog. I focus on letting you rest and be with baby, and making sure you feel comfortable in this new life changing process.
